Lindsay Taylor Hatfield has been the director of LCC’s youngest choir, Capo, since 2015. She holds a degree in Music Education from the University of Kansas and has taught music at Schwegler Elementary since 2007. She has a passion for teaching preschool-aged children and loves fostering those beginning building blocks of music through games, stories, movement, and high-quality literature. Lindsay is also an avid performer and has had the opportunity to sing with local bands and at various sporting events around the Lawrence and Kansas City area. She is a current member of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) and the National Educators Association (NEA). Lindsay is the 2019 recipient of the Outstanding Music Educator Award from the University of Kansas music faculty.
